"Midwives and doctors are wonderful at Treliske"

About: Royal Cornwall Hospital (Treliske)

(as the patient),

My beautiful son was born on time at a healthy 6lb 5oz, i had a long labour and was very tired, i waited too long to ask for pain relief so i couldn't have any! (that was my own fault) the hospital was very busy, but i felt as if i had the staffs' complete attention all the time, there were times when i was left on my own but this was fine, when i needed someone they were there straight away! Because i was very tired and in a lot of pain i needed help delivering my son and he was delivered by ventouse, everything was carefully explained to me what was happening at every point. People are always critising the wonderful staff at Treliske and it makes me sick, from my experience many of these people have not had children at all nevermind experienced Treliske's wonderful maternity unit first hand. The midwife who delivered my son was called Jane, i can't remember her surname. She was kind and a really lovely lady, when me and my husband have more children i will be very happy to be having my children at Treliske! The midwifes, doctors and nurses all work long difficult hours, they are doing a wonderful job which can be very rewarding but at times very difficult and challenging, why don't people realise this, and give them the credit they deserve?
