About: Good Hope Hospital / Elderly medicine

(as a relative),

My elderly father has been in and out of hospital for last 3 months and has lost a lot of weight he finds the food is disgusting!

The drinks prescribed are he also finds disgusting. The juice variety is improved if made very cold but this is not possible! So, this in my opinion is a significant barrier to him getting better! He has never eaten cornflakes, so is not going to start now.

I know this is difficult to resolve, but important to flag. I challenge the CEO and Directors to be a patient for a few days (undercover) and try the food!

I am sorry to read that your father has had difficulties with the food.
