"Thanks for saving my life"

About: Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Critical Care Unit (ICU/HDU) Glasgow Royal Infirmary / Respiratory Medicine (Wards 2, 6,7 10 & 16)

(as the patient),

I was admitted with uti then due to opiate toxicity re issue with kidneys and oromorph I ended up in shdu of gri. Unfortunately I don't remember much except waking up in here but apparently I was very unwell. I received excellent care from all the nurses and doctors and left shdu 5 days later to the respiratory wd 10. Although SHDU sounds scary the staff really put you at ease and involve you in all aspects of your care and reassure relatives also. Keep up the good work and thanks for saving my life! !

Dear Amcb

I am sorry to hear that you were admitted to SHDU.

Thank you for taking the time to post on patient opinion. It is always rewarding when staff receive positive feedback. I will ensure that your praise and thanks are shared with the staff who cared for you.

Best wishes
