"Excellent care"

About: East Surrey Hospital / Ophthalmology

(as the patient),

Cataract surgery. Excellent care throughout. All levels of staff were caring, kind and helpful.

I would like to make an observation. Is there a system for patients to show their gratitude, namely to have a secure system to "tip" the staff. I always tip my hairdresser.

My surgeon has far more responsibility, so do all the staff.

How can I show my appreciation to the staff that attended me?

Thank you for the positive feedback.

Your appreciation will be passed onto the team, as we always share patient opinion stories with our staff.

We also have our SASH Charity - http://www.sashcharity.org/ it's a great way to make a donation.

Kind Regards

Tobias Tipper

Update posted by Boiled Cabbages (the patient)

What could be improved? Cataract Waiting Time.

My comment about waiting time: I have no problem waiting to be seen by staff, the staff are efficient, but perhaps staff could tell patients during their FIRST anxious visit for cataract surgery.

E.g "You will be attended to in stages.. waiting between each of these stages varies, but usually will be approximately ...... ? Then you will go through for surgery which only lasts about 15/20 minutes. . Etc etc
