I have used Louth Crisis team multiple times in the past, and always felt like the problems I had with them were because of something wrong in the way I was being. I always felt like I wasn't taken seriously and found follow ups etc. were awful. I'd get home from being discharged following an overdose and they would just leave a voicemail saying to call them if I needed, when at that point I wasn't able to do that and needed someone to be calling me.
I have taken so long to complain because I didn't realise how bad the Louth team are in my experience, until I moved away. I am currently under a different crisis team in a different area and they are completely different to Louth. They are truly amazing, they care. They don't seem to have lost their passion for their job. They don't see see self-harm as petty and they don't just want to get rid of a patient as soon as they can.
