Earlier this year I dislocated and broke my ankle. From the moment I entered KGH doors to the moment I left I cant compliment the teams who looked after me enough. Special thanks to the following departments, the wards both Barnwell C and Ashton no matter how busy you all were I felt so well cared for as well as the cleaning team who were on duty and chatted whilst they worked which really made a difference, A+E team who were just amazing and helped put my foot in the normal position but also kept me calm and comfortable, X-RAY who repeatedly checked the healing process and could not have been more friendly and caring, Theatres and anaesthetics who never normally get a mention but I have to say were amazing , Physio team who got me back on one leg and moving around so I could get home, catering for the lovely food, pathology staff for checking my bloods and making sure surgery would be safe, the ICT team who checked I was safe at home and provided me with all of the aides I needed to recover and look after my family at the same time. a massive thank you to my consultant and his team who excellently repaired the damage I had done and who saw me daily to make sure all was going well. I hope I have not missed any departments out because everyone deserves a massive thank you. To every single member of staff who helped me on my road to recovery I am truly grateful.
"Truly grateful"
