"Consultation fracture clinic"

About: Charing Cross Hospital

I have been to the fracture clinic in Charing Cross hospital 3 times so far and I'm yet to see the consultant about my knee injury. My first appointment was at the beginning of Oct, there was no knee specialist in the hospital and I was told that only when I walked in the room and was seen by a hand and shoulder consultant, what a joke! My 2nd appointment was for 2 days later, again supposed to see the knee consultant, they were in but they don't do the type of knee operation I have to have, a complete mess! Today (04/11/16) three weeks later, I went in to see the right knee surgeon and discuss my injury and operation just to find out they were away! This is a total joke, no call, text or email to let me know they weren't in, other patients had to leave as well without seeing anyone, a total disrespect! When I questioned the receptionist, who is very rude, based on the 3 times I had been there, why weren't we told the consultant wasn't in so we wouldn't waste our time? They said to "ask them or their private secretary, not our job to inform the patients." Unfortunately, the NHS is going from bad to worse!
