What a fabulous day we had! We never stopped being busy with all the activities that Alice and Beryl from West Bassetlaw Children's Centre had organised. We looked around the Minster with Diana from the Education sector of the Minster and we had to find faces in the walls abd in the Minster itself. We were really good at spotting them. Then it was time to make our own clay faces, which were all beautiful, and then we put them on the trees so they could watch all of the people visiting the Educational Garden. After that we made a nature collage by sticking lots of things that we found in the woods on a sticky strip. there were leaves, grass, petals and sticks on some of them and they made sure they filled them up. Thenm we got a bit messy as we painted pictures with spaghetti hoops, ketchup and mustard! Next we all made gorgeous smelling perfume oout of water and rose petals. Eat your heart out Channel! Lunch was a lovely occasion with all our children tucking into a tasty homemade lunch. Finally, we made dens and the Dads did get a little bit competitive but they are amazing!
Thanks to all our helpers who embraced the whole experience. We are so lucky to have had you make our special day even more memorialable.
There were lots of tired tiny people on the bus on the way home who were lulled to sleep by the motion of the bus (and one daddy too! )
