"Busy Feet at Carlton Playgroup"

About: West Bassetlaw Children's Centre

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

The session was lively, especially when one of our children switched the CD off....twice! The songs appropriate/age relevant. I think the main teaching target this week was to learn the sign for "stop" which the children enjoyed and most where taking it on board. Need to get the Mum's participarting more and interacting with their children.

The songs were fun and simple with lots of repition and actions. The songs were delivered well with clear diction and a good speed. I personally enjoyed the session and the children who joined in had a big smile on their faces. I look forward to seeing how these sessions develop.

A great idea - children, even really young babies just arrived in our world, respond to music - fast/slow/loud/soft etc. Thanking you for including our toddler group in your arrangements. Anything different is always beneficial for our children

It can take a while for children to fully understand what is being expected but it sounds like your session was lively and fun. In an age whereby tv and technology plays such a large part in children's lives it is good to hear that community groups such as yours are open to trying new ways of working and expanding the childrens experiences. Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback
