Patient needs come first

"Patient needs come first"

About: Rampton Hospital

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

frequent cancellations due to staffing restrictions mean that the patients on the PD service are suffering and I feel when management decide to close chiltern down and move staff to ward they dissregard the principle issue which is patients needs come first.

Thank you for sharing your concerns. We take seriously the adverse impact of cancellations of meaningful activities on patients' experience and recovery. By collaboratively working with patients, staff and other departments we have produced a new timetable and have put more resources in day care services to minimise the number of cancellations.

Patients do indeed come first.!

Thank you for reminding us that clinical and management decisions must be personalised, proactive and patient-led.
