My cousin was admitted into wishaw general hospital over 4 weeks ago with stomachs issues. He was in ward 16, the staff were very understanding and kept my aunt up to date what was happening. After a ct scan he had took pancreatitis and we were advised that he was to be moved to critical care unit as he could be monitored a lot better in this unit. Every change of staff in this ward took time out to come and explain what was happening with him whether it be my aunt, my mum or myself and even if we just had a question the staff took the time out to come speak to us. Unfortunately he passed away but still the staff were helpful and friendly didn't rush us out the ward as they would have needed the room for other critical patients. We just wanted to let the staff of both wards know that we appreciate how much as a family we appreciate and want to thank them for the care that they gave to my cousin and also the compassion they gave us as a family. Thank you and kept doing amazing work.
