I was a patient at the Northern General Hospital in the Temporary Admissions unit. I had to have a screw removed from the side of my foot after a bunion had previously been removed.
The theatre staff and the register were wonderful and did a first class job.
I arrived at 7.00am, but did not go to theatre until 11.45am. Surely, it would have been better if I had been given some sort of appointment time rather that left to sit around and wait all of that time on the ward.
After surgery whilst trying to get dressed I felt upset, as most of the other patients had been and gone and I seemed to be left to my own devices and I also could not find my way out.
