Having experience a detached retina scenarios 2+ weeks ago, I'd like to offer some comments all positive about the whole team involved.
Needless to say for myself the thought of having a detached retina was a major concern given I've been very very fortunate with my health generally over my 59 years. I'd have to say the professionalism of Dr Cormack and all his team whether it be at clinic for initial assessment, operation and recovery itself, the ward 25 staff was second to none. Given I stay in Kirkcaldy Fife I've never used Ninewells before - my whole dealings with that team were excellent. It's easy enough to criticise these days but quite frankly I'd like to praise and express my sincere thanks to this team within the hospital. The girls on Ward 25 were fantastic, very supportive and helpful. All in all the whole team deserve great credit at the way they operate. Dr Cormacks team are a tremendous asset within Ninewells.
