My daughter is currently in Coral Ward (formally Maple Ward, under 18 CAMHS unit). The new £9.2 million building is a very good facility, but still lacks gymm equipment for the patients to exercise. There is no regular exercise for the patients - exercise is essential in therapeutic terms for recovery for people with mental health illness.Another problem with the ward is the poor communications to us as parents. We don't feel as though there is a structured approach to our daughters treatment and especially lacks in therapeutic treatment.
