I had a regular routine appointment on 26 Sep 2016 and saw a Consultant I had not seen before.
This appointment was excellent.
The consultant apologised for the delay immediately and then explained my blood activity, levels, and how they related to Lupus in me.
I mentioned current aches and pains as usual, and the consultant examined me, then gave me the choice between oral medication or an injection.
My dignity was maintained throughout, with the provision of a gown, curtains being drawn, and the minimum requirement for undressing.I have had SLE for over 26 years, and this was the first time someone took time to show me current blood activity and how that related to me individually.
It gave me a better understanding of my wellbeing than ever before.
I hope this consultant remains in the Lupus clinic.
