Attended for a Colonoscopy on Sunday morning.Very nervous.

The staff were all amazing and explained every thing so well,my procedure was a little more difficult than usual due to my condition and so I did experience some pain but the consultant and nurses talked me through every step and one nurse held my hand when I needed it.After my procedure they looked after me until my sedation had worn off. And the Consultant came to talk to me to reassure me and to explained what would happen next. I have to say I felt very well looked after.the new gastrointestinal unit is a very pleasant,clean and welcoming place. Thank you

Dear WJ, thank you so much for taking the time to send us this feedback about your experience on the new Gastro unit.

I am so pleased that you felt well cared for and that staff showed the kindness and compassion we would expect all our patients to experience, and particularly when someone is having this sort of procedure.

I will make sure the staff in the unit, and our Estates staff who have worked hard to improve the environment for patients in the unit, are aware of your kind comments - it will mean a great deal to them.
