I recently had a minor operation carried out at day surgery Wishaw general I was very nervous whereby day surgery staff nurses Geraldine and Vicky put me at ease straight away. When any doctors came in to assess me they all made me feel calm and that I would be in good hands.
In theatre recovery I was looked after by one male staff nurse (his name I cannot remember ) he was an asset to recovery all the staff ensured I was okay and dealt with my pain calmly and tried to get it under control as best as possible
I was then transferred to ward 13 where I was greeted by a lovely doctor and female staff nurse ( again their names I do not remember ) the ward were great with me and any time I buzzed through the night ( which was quite a lot) for pain relief they did not leave me waiting any length of time but got me it as quick as they could even although the ward was very busy with emergency admissions.
All in all as a nhs staff member it is very different being the patient but this is when you realise how much of a credit staff are to the NHS. I could not fault any of these staff members in any way. Every staff member that looked after me that day and informed my mum and partner of everything that was happening are more than amazing! Thank you does not seem enough.
