My daughter was rushed to GOSH with a bleed in her brain earlier this year. She has a rare condition and had two emergency operations. We were greeted by a senior nurse the moment we arrived and saw the head of neurosurgery within the hour. She spent a month in PICU in a coma and another 2 months on the ward. I cannot say enough about the staff in neurosurgery and the PICU. Yes, there were one or two exceptions, but that's what it was, an exception. I and my child were treated with respect, kindness and courtesy. There was always someone who made time for a cup of tea and a shoulder to cry on. Today she is still under their care, but is alive and reasonably well due in no small part to the care she received from everyone there. Including the cleaning staff!
