(as the patient),

Excellent service from the whole breast care unit

Mr Musa and his team are a credit to the NHS and the KGH

I do have the option of private health care, but the waiting times would have been no quicker and the aftercare service in the unit is far better than that I had experienced for another operation in the private sector.

I had two ops, again the staff on Geddington although overstretched did an amazing job - my only concern is the patient waiting area on the Geddington ward.

It is mixed sex and yet you are left sitting there with surgical stockings on waiting for a bed/room. One lady was asked to change into her operating gown in the toilet within the waiting area not good - germs I would presume being the biggest factor.

On my second visit there were no rooms or beds free for doctors to consult there patients, and I was seen in a small office.

Thank you for your really positive comments regarding Mr Musa and his team in the Breast Unit. Please accept our apologies for your experiences on Geddington Ward with regards to their admissions area. We are aware that this area is less than ideal, and are exploring other options. In the meantime we have asked Geddington to ensure that patients are offered a bed prior to changing into theatre wear. We hope you are progressing well from your recent admissions.

Kind regards

Jo Milton
