I have been under the care of Brynmair clinic for many years.

In the last few years my mental illness deteriorated and my GP referred me back to Brynmair.

Initally I saw Dr Edge and I found her very understanding and polite. I was again allocated a CPN (Kath) and a Support Worker (Ian).

Both of them treated me extremely well and I can't thank them enough for the support and care given. Ian would take me out every two weeks for coffee and it helped build my confidence as did Kath.

I was also under the care of Annette for cognative therapy and I felt very relaxed in her company. Similarly, I received EMDR treatment for PTSD with Debbie and she also put me at ease.

Mental health services have always been the 'bottom of the barrel' and Brynmair is no exception. It's always been a struggle to get psychiatrists to come to the area, hence the often long waiting lists, which is of course detrimental to staff and patients. I hope things improve soon!
