I attended the A & E dept. on the advice of my GP. The ambulance staff were efficient, funny and very helpful .Almost immediate attention was given in the admitting ward, and everyone was friendly, efficient, so very efficient and good. So much skill was shown!
I was moved to various other wards, and thorough and careful treatment was given.
The final meeting with the doctor was amazing. The doctor was firm, pleasant and so beautiful, with the nicest eyes I have seen for a long time. The doctor's advice was clear and precise, and very helpful.
The sister in the last ward I was in, gave clear and exact advice too, and I cannot stress more, how pleasant and comforting all the people I met were, from the cleaners and the porters to the doctors and nurses. I was there for over 6 hours, but never felt neglected,as, of course, the department was very busy, with bad traffic casualties and many patients.
This was, to my mind, as example to be followed by other hospitals.
"Excellent care, given with skill and a smile"
