I first attended Fulwood Hall hospital as an NHS patient in June 2016 for a consultation about a total knee replacement. On the 21st July l was admitted for surgery, which went well and 3 days later I was on my way home.
From my first meeting with the consultant to the day I was allowed home the experience at this hospital was a positive one. The consultant and team treated me with dignity and respect and we're always happy to answer any questions or concerns. The nursing staff were kind and caring and did everything they could to keep patients as pain free and comfortable as possible. I found all the staff at this hospital to be pleasant and professional and an added bonus is the food was nice. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hospital to any of my friends and family who might need similar surgery.
As for myself I am now in the 5th week after surgery and I am able to walk unaided. I still have some pain at night which I am sure will improve in time. The good news is that horrible arthritic pain that I had before the op has gone. Thank you to the surgeon and all the staff at Fulwood Hall.
