"Disgraceful treatment by consultant."

I have been in this hospital since Sunday and have had to watch a women of 42 yrs old with a suspected rupture of her breast implant which she received as reconstructive surgery due to breast cancer be pushed from pillar to post and be told there is only one person in the whole hospital that can give her a scan to tell her wether she has silicone leaking into her blood stream or not or has her cancer come back it is now Friday evening at 9.35 and she is waiting to go home with her family living 40 miles away and her consultant has now failed to write her discharge letter !!!!!!! If she leaves now and becomes Ill due to the rupture it will be her responsibility and she will not be untitled to further care as she will have effectively discharged herself !!!!!! She is unable to stay as her bed has been given to someone else. In all my life I have never seen such incompetence and lack of humility with regards to someone in such a position as this !!!! One must ask them self where the blame lies. Seriously this needs addressing .
