Had endoscopy post stomach bleed and ulcers under conscious sedation, and still half asleep when moved to waiting area to wait for relative to collect me. Fortunately, another member of staff saw me propped barely conscious against the wall and very kindly took me to lie down again for a few hours until I was awake enough to walk out.My relative was't too happy at being phoned at work and told she had to come immediately to collect me and then having to wait for several hours even though she came after work. I felt well looked after apart from the nurse who tried to hustle me out before I was ready and she was counterbalanced by the other who was nothing but concern and kindness. I got a copy of the results but no treatment. 8 months later a letter outlining the treatment given to someone who'd been referred with dyspepsia and had two courses of triple therapy and follow up tests. I just hope whoever they mixed me up with wasn't as red flagged allergic to penicillin as I am.
"Endoscopy fine but no follow up treatment"
