"Childbirth & Neo Natal care"

About: Epsom and St Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust

My son was born at Epsom hospital on 18/03/16 and I would like to say how wonderful the care I received was at this time. I called to say I thought my labour had started but was concerned I was bleeding. The midwife I spoke to quickly established that I had had raised blood pressure for several weeks and thanks to their diligence asked me to go in for a blood test. After assessment I was admitted immediately and induced because of the blood pressure and an ante partum haemmorage. The entire team of midwives and doctors at this life changing time were amazing. I would also like to mention the midwife who delivered my baby and was incredible from 8am when their shift started until just after 1pm when my baby was born. I was scared, they barely left me and as well as being in safe hands, they were unbelievable support. My baby was then taken to the neo natal unit where he stayed for 5 days and again I cannot express enough my gratitude to the entire team for not only their care but support to us as new parents. I am so grateful for everything they all did and wanted to pass on my comments and thanks.

Hi Helen. Thanks for sharing this wonderful feedback with us! We are so pleased to hear that you rate the service, and the care you received from the team, so highly. We will pass your feedback on to the team in maternity and the neonatal unit - they will be delighted! We hope you and your son are both well.
