"unhelpful staff at biggart hospital"

(as a relative),

My mother was given an appointment at biggart hospital for a parkinsons assessment as she hasn't been seen by a specialist in over 3 years. on this appointment my mother was told she would be there for the day and there was a good chance she would not be seen by a doctor even though they were in the building.

My mum was seen instead by someone we have tried to get help from before for our mum. my mums partner has just passed away and dealt with all my mum's appointments and the person we saw said that my mother had missed appointments in the first year and it was her own fault, and then argued with my other family member and spoke down to the both of them and told them that they didn't care. if this person is not dealt with I am going to the papers about what I think is a lack of care and arrogance from someone in this position. my mother is getting very ill and losing a lot of weight and all she wanted was an assessment from a doctor and her tablets regulated and she had to see this person instead who I feel was very unhelpful. I hope you take this matter very seriously as we have had no help from this person or anybody else for that matter in three years and my mother is incapable of travelling or sitting in a hospital for 8 hours without being seen.

I was really sorry to read of your mum's experience. There is no excuse for staff being rude.
