I was admitted to the AMU today for a CT scan in response to a migraine, arriving at 1.15 and leaving at around 7.45.
During their time the staff were amazing, efficient and with humour, lightening the mood on the ward and showing the greatest of respect to a lady with dementia in the bed opposite me.
The food was delicious and the doctors spoke to me at great depth, explaining everything.
A very efficient ward, one particular nurse is worth an extra mention for their level of care with the other patients.
At one point, the patient with dementia had refused food, then ten minutes later stated she was hungry.
One of the staff instantly offered her sandwiches and when she refused, made her toast, jam and a cup of tea.
Very personal service.
I'd highly recommend this hospital, it's care was second to none.
