I drove myself in with severe abdominal pain. I had no idea I could not be 'treated' at this 'hospital' and wished I had never entered the building. One of the 2 staff had no patient care skills whatsoever, miserable individual. Even when I first vomited due to the pain I was suffering, there was no urgency to get me a bowl. And allowed me to continue vomiting on the bed! No comforting words either. And as I continued to vomit at sporadic intervals, a couple of times I had to ask for tissues and water. I even asked where the bowl was and was told 'beside you'. Made me a feel a real nuisance. I was given an injection to stop the nausea but I don't understand why I was not allowed any decent pain relief. 2 x paracetamol did not help. Eventually whilst waiting 3 hours for an ambulance, I was offered gas and air. (Might have been an idea to have been given this after my injection 2 hours earlier). Still no ambulance by 6am so I discharged myself, I had to get out of there. Astonished they allowed me to drive my car home. No advice was given not to or 'Would you like us to get you a taxi?'. I left without any further words of comfort as I walked out of their lives. I was the only patient there last night and most of it I was left to cry out in pain. For a good 45 mins I was not checked on. Pretty sure they were in the room next to me having a nice cuppa. Oh how I wished I had just phoned for an ambulance in the first place. Never again!!
"Truly terrible experience in the early hours."
