I had spent the morning in A+E Colchester with a deep wound on my forehead, after passing out in my bathroom at 3am. This had been a fraught and traumatic day for me,I am a very nervous and squeamish patient. I was referred on to Max Fax department in Billericay Ward.I had been advised to go home for something to eat first, so this gave me time to put my dog in kennels. The wait to see the doctor seemed forever , but when I met the Doctor I was instantly put at ease, they explained the procedure with a great deal of patience and compassion. They said they would stop at any time if it got too much for me. They kept me talking to take my mind off of what was happening, their kindness and calm manner made the whole ordeal much more acceptable. They explained that I would have a scar that would fade a bit in time , but if I was not happy with it I could have it revised.Altogether the whole day from accident to completion of procedure to home was16 hours. made far more bearable by meeting this marvellous doctor. They did an excellent job, i cannot thank them enough, long may they continue making people happy ,from,Marion Bearham aged 62 years.
