My friend was a patient in Arrowe Park Hospital a week or so ago. I visited her a couple of times on Ward 16.
Is there a policy for disposing/seeing to of urine either in bottles or jugs?
Whilst visiting I saw at least 4 or 5 different shades of the afore mentioned liquid on its way to the sluice room!!
As a visitor I was offended.... it was not only me who could be offended but also any other patient, visitor.
I always remember that years ago bottles and jugs were covered with a cloth of some description thus protecting others from seeing contents. Of course the dignity of the owner of said samples would be kept as well.
I would hope that a policy for carrying such containers to a sluice room is present and if not then I feel it should be!!!
Also the smell on entering the above mentioned ward was offensive in itself and perhaps this is the reason.
"Is there a policy for disposing of urine discretely at Arrowe Park?"
