"Being ignored when very vulnerable"

About: Adult Mental Health / Southampton East CMHT

(as the patient),

I have been mentally unwell for a few years and eventually was referred to the East Community Mental Health Team in Southampton. I have had to fight to get appointments & have now been on a dozen anti-depressants with limited success. I was referred for 12 sessions of ECT which have now finished & still no appointment to see my clinical specialist. My care co-ordinator is also unable to contact him to find out what happens next leaving me in a very vulnerable position where I am struggling to cope day to day affecting my family & home life although if I phone my care co-ordinator she does speak to me if she is free to calm me.

I cannot be alone. There must be many other people in the same situation & I am disappointed that Southern Health are willing to gamble with our lives.
