"An implantable loop recorder"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Day Surgery

(as the patient),

I had an implantable loop recorder fitted in day surgery. Everyone was very attentive and reassuring - I was a nervous wreck. I must say everything went well and I have nothing but admiration for all the staff.

I had my first follow up today and I was amazed at the information this loop recorder provided. Everything was fine and I have to return in six months unless I have another episode. I must say all my experience with the staff at Hairmyres Hospital has been of the highest standard.

Dear Marylou1006,

I am so pleased you found staff attentive and caring through what must have been a daunting procedure and that everything has gone so well.

Modern technology is an absolute blessing in healthcare, however it cannot replace the human factor and I'm delighted staff were able to help reassure you when you needed this support.

I hope you continue to progress and thank you again for expressing your kind sentiments.

Kind regards

Gwen
