"Pain Management Appointment"

I had an appointment recently with Dr Keane, a Pain Management specialist with Sherwood Forest Hospitals at Blidworth Health Centre. I just want to write to say how superb Dr Keane was.

I have lived with chronic pain in neck and lumbar spine for years. After seeing Dr Keane I feel new hope for coping with this long-term condition. He could not have been more helpful. He spoke to me in a friendly way, allowed me to ask all my questions. I didn't feel in the slightest talked down to, but that he was on my side.

He spoke about a management plan - I could have fainted - no one has ever talked about that before. Altogether it was a brilliant appointment and all of that goes down to Dr Keane's excellent skills, not simply as a clinician, but as someone who knows how to support patients. I am hugely grateful.
