Over 2 years ago, I had a breakdown, followed by stuttering and tremors, to the point of not being able to go out. The crisis team were good, but ive found the psychiatrists to be not always so. After they stabilzed my stutterings with drugs, they diagnosed me with a bipolar disorder. after seeing a doctor who, while I was trying to keep off meds, was ok, but after a few relapses and bad decisions, was quite rude after agreeing to try me on lithium. I've worked all my life, never been a trouble to anyone, and when you need help you don't need some condescending "read things from a book" person adding to your woes.
I’m hoping to see a new doctor in the next few weeks. I hope he/she is a bit more compassionate. I know the NHS is struggling/failing, I appreciate we have this service "free" well you know what I mean, but its poor. I know there’s a few folk out there who play on things, and act, but I find it embarrassing to talk to people about my problems I don’t like to complain but I was so annoyed felt I had to write. hope things improve.
