Had my first visit to Lister Hospital and the Bancroft Clinic today.
Hospital is not very local to where I live but once on site I found the carpark and the clinic relatively easily, although extortionate in the charges (£4 for 1 hour and 8 minutes!).
On entering the clinic there was a reception staffed with 2 people who each had a patient that they were dealing with and I was next in line.
However, there are no clear signs as to which part of the reception desk I had to queue up in and by the time I was seen I was told that I was in the wrong queue and by the time I joined the corrrect queue 2 more patients had arrived, so I had to wait even longer.
After that I had a relatively short time to wait before being seen.
I found the consultant indifferent and bordering on rude as I felt he failed to listen to me properly.
I have had previous experience of my current condition and I felt that they failed to listen when I tried to explain my past history.
I know that I will be going back for a follow up and hope that the next visit will be better, if not I will be vocally expressing my opinion at the time.
