"Caring nurses, but not enough information at DRI"

About: Doncaster Royal Infirmary / Gynaecology

(as the patient),

I had a hysterectomy at DRI, staying on ward G5. During my stay I found most nurses to be kind and caring. However, it took a long time to get the results for an infection I had, to enable me to have the appropriate antibiotics. I needed them sooner. I arrived for a polyp removal, only to be told I had pre-cancerous cells meaning I would need a hysterectomy. I should have been told before. I arrived for the hysterectomy, all gowned up, I was told six hours after my arrival that the operation had been canceled.
