"Treatment in A&E Queen's Hospital Romford"

About: Queen's Hospital / Accident & emergency

(as the patient),

I had a vasovagal syncope in April and was taken to Queen's Hospital (old Church) A very bad experience: triage took place sitting next to all of the other patients, no privacy at all, then I was sent to 'Majors Lite' and waited about 7 hours with no information about when I was to be seen. Dr didn't introduce themselves, when I asked who they were they just said 'I'm one of the A&E doctors' didn't give their name until I asked, they looked fed up but no excuse, they didn't know what caused the syncope. A complete waste of time with very poor staff attitudes from the doctors. I work in the NHS so can benchmark their approach

I am sorry to read of your comments regarding your experience in Queen’s Hospital Emergency Department. Unfortunately, we are not able to determine how many patients are going to access our emergency department each hour. Patients come into the department in several ways and our doctors and nurses will see patients based on their clinical need and priority. However, I am sorry you didn’t receive the care we pride ourselves on. If you would like to discuss your concerns further, please contact our Patient Advice and Liaison Service on 01708 435 454 or by email pals@bhrhospitals.nhs.uk.

Yours Sincerely

Nadeem Moghal

Medical Director
