"The service they provide is vital"

I have received wonderful support from my local Breastfeeding Advisor, Lana. She came out to visit me at home when my son was just over a week old and offered me advice and support. She made sure my son was latching on properly and put me at ease when I shared my worries about not being able to produce much milk when I breast pump. Lana is so friendly and welcoming and made me feel so much more confident about breastfeeding.

This is my second child and I didn't have a very positive experience the first time around so meeting Lana has made a huge difference. She also runs a breastfeeding support group. I've been once and felt very welcome. It is great to meet other mums and hopefully I'll build up a bigger social network for myself as being a stay at home mum can be quite lonely at times. Lana and her colleagues offer much needed help and have so much knowledge about breastfeeding, the service they provide is vital.
