"Couldn't have wished for better maternity care"

About: Barnsley Hospital / Maternity care

(as the patient),

I gave birth in the maternity unit at Barnsley Hospital. The best thing about my stay was the staff, they were excellent. However, while I was there the ward was undergoing a refurbishment. This made looking after patients much harder. The staff were great, under the circumstances.

I was upset with only one member of staff. I felt ignored when I had a sick baby.

I want to say though, that my whole experience from start to finish during my pregnancy was great. I attended ante natal classes, etc and all the staff were excellent. I couldn't have wished for better care!

I want to thank the whole team on maternity and my community Midwife, Lee Elland.
