I attended Kings Mill Hospital Endoscopy Dept for a colonoscopy yesterday after an abnormal bowel screening result. I was absolutely terrified about the procedure and the result. There was no need. From start to finish the whole experience was nothing to be worried about. The whole team were absolutely fantastic, putting me at ease about the procedure. I opted for sedation but I was fully aware of what was happening and was chatting to the very caring staff all the time. It was painless, just a little discomfort momentarily. I was kept fully aware of what was happening from the moment I attended the unit. Luckily for me no cancer was found, just two polyps which were removed without any pain or discomfort. Well done Paul and your team.
