Two month ago I took my little boy up to the sick kids hospital with severe diarrehea. The doctors and nurses were fantastic, he started taking liquid within a few hours under supervision and the issue seems to be resolved, however they were a little bit concerned about his weight gain and we highlighted his tounge tie ( we kept asking for referral since he was born but as he didn't have feeding difficulties we never got referred) and that might be a connection with it.
One of the consultant referred him to the surgeon to see how severe the tongue tie is. We have been told that we will be contacted very soon as he was back then 4 month old already. We still not got any referral furthermore no record indicates his referral at the GP. GP/health visitor keep saying it can take quite a long time but it's over 2 month now and still nothing happened and still not been seen by a surgeon.
