My sister was initially upset that I had stepped in on her behalf, but she rang the transport service and they said someone had reported she was making her own way to hospital. Bless her, she can't walk and cannot get into anything other than an ambulance! It looks too as if her practice will send a nurse out to dress her legs, so a good result there.
The PALS gentleman she spoke to was very kind and as far as I can discover sorted everything out for her. She has had a very sincere apology and an appointment arranged for next week plus the transport has also been arranged. Watch this space.
Thank you St George's for your cooperation in this case. She now feels that people care for the elderly and infirm and that it was a mistake that she was given another appointment so much later.
