"Saw a difference early in our sessions."

About: Inclusion Matters Wirral

(as the patient),

I felt completely hopeless and couldn’t stop crying and that changed within a few sessions. I had CBT and 6 talking sessions through work with little success. I had given up hope when I started with Jackie but saw a difference early in our sessions. I hadn’t realised that so many things that had happed in my life had contributed to my current status, childhood grief, guilt, relationships, I could go on, but I had never appreciated that events when I was a child could still be affecting me as a 54 year old.

“let it go”. Probably the best advice I was ever given and something that takes practice but it worked.

Dear Tangy900,

I am pleased to hear that engaging with our service and therapist has had such a profound effect. Also that you had the courage to try again when other talking therapies failed to deliver in the past.

Hopefully your message will give hope to others that have found therapy less than successful in the past.

I will pass on your views on the effectiveness of your work together to Jackie.
