About: St. Margaret's Hospital

I was booked in for an appointment at St Margarets. Gastro out patients.

On the day I realised I would not be able to make it, £200 lost if I take the day off.

Company concerns needed me.

I tried to call about 6 times. Just ringing and ringing. 15 mins 1 time.

I managed to google and call the main reception who put me in touch with nearby dept; who said 'oh they must be busy', they put me through to Consultants secretary, who because it was 10 mins later, than my original appointment; said I would be put down as not attending, the appointment, black mark, etc.....

As it did turn out as a brusque letter arrived to say I had missed this appointment and they would reluctantly give me another one, months away.

When my doctor wanted info on potential stomach cancer.

Is this the way to conduct a professional organisation ?

This truly happened and I am not one for complaining, as are most British people.

It takes a lot for me to complain; and this will probably get white washed and forgotten about, lost in NHS system

Answer the telephones at least, or provide an email,or texting service, if you cant be bothered having someone available to accept calls from clients.

Bad service, wish I could afford BUPA
