"Great session from Chlasp Huddersfield (BJH)"

About: Kirklees Sexual Health / Kirklees Sexual Health Outreach

(as other),

Chlasp Huddersfield delivered a sexual Health Session for our group of young people aged 16-19 - they were brilliant and very informative! ! ...It was appreciative for them to organise a session within a very short space of requesting information - this wasn't expected: )

A learner question box was prepared before so the session could be fitted around individual needs where the information was provided - the quiz was a great idea to get the group motivated. We had merged 2 groups that didn't know each other which affected responsiveness but the 2 ladies didn't let this affect anything - Just one learner feedback suggestion would be to include more interactive things they could touch/be involved in as they like doing practical things to maintain focus – however they were given the opportunity to to drop in if they wanted any other/more information in private.

The faciliators were easy going and didn't make it embarrassing at all for them plus they all stayed in the room - very good sign: ) you even gave out condoms which they used on a demonstrator after you had gone and light up sperm keyrings – who could want more! !

Thank you very much

Thank you New Beginnings - what a lovely review of our service.

Lorraine and Susan really enjoyed working with you and the young people - they were so impressed with the questions the young people had and how positively they engaged with the session.

We try really hard to make sure that every day we come to work, we offer young people excellent support, that they can trust, that will help them to make safe and positive choices about their sexual health, whether that is for now or in the future.

If you or your young people need any further support or help about their sexual health, then give us a call on 01484 481030 and remember you can request a free chlamydia screening kit at chlamydia.screening@locala.org.uk

Many thanks for your comments
