"Nurse went above and beyond"

About: Colchester General Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

My elderly relative was taken to Colchester General last week with bad breathing problems. She was in the Accident and Emergency department and a specialist nurse was called because she needed a machine to help her breathing. A outreach nurse came to see her, a Irish sounding nurse and she has been singing his praises ever since. He treated her with such personal kindness and attention. He even found out that she had been taken back into hospital after being sent home and found where she was and went and saw her and gave her a hug - she knew his voice straight away as that was how much of a impression he made on her.. Colchester General gets such a lot of bad news but with staff like this who gave such a personal touch the hospital really doesn't deserve it. She couldn't remember the outreach nurses name other than that he was irish but thanks so much for what you did for her.
