"Cardiological events and lack of respect "

About: Glenfield Hospital

(as the patient),

In May this year i was addmitted to hospital for the 8th time suffering severe chest pains. After first being treated in a&e at leicester royal infirmary i was then transferd to glenfield hospital as i was being seen by a professor who is based there.

Upon arrival i was made to sit on a hard chair for 3 hours before a doctor came to asses me. I told the doctor how long i had had my current complaint ( i have had these eppisodes of pain for a year and a half) i was told that even though my blood troponins were raised ( indicating possibe heart damage) and the fact that i was now having chest pain and shortness of breath on excertion he was going to send me home.

I told him that i was still in alot of pain and was now having difficulty walking more than 500 meteres (I'm 22). I was told 'so what do want me to do about it'. Admittedly all previous heart investigations have proved negative for any heart condition but I felt this lack of respect was appaling. All i wanted was some advice on what to do next as i am sick and tired of being shoved from doctor to doctor without any explanation for my recuring condition. I am now reluctant to visit my gp incase i am sent to hospital again. Surely after 8 admisions to hospital somebody must have some idea about what is causing me so much pain and distress.
