"Family Support"

About: Netherfield Children's Centre

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

My wife was finding it very difficult to socialise and was getting quite emotional as she felt restricted by not being able to get out of the house. Glenys at  Family Support Care and First Friends has been great and helped her to find other ladies that she could meet with and talk to and it's made a massive difference, the support is fantastic.

Thankyou for taking the time to tell us your story. We are so pleased to hear First Friends has enabled you wife to meet and form friendships with others who may have felt the same as she did in being restricted by not being able to get out and feeling lisolated and emotional. Talking about how we feel helps to us to understand that we are not alone and others often have similar experiences to ourselves. Glenys Harris is very experienced in supporting families and I am so pleased she has been able to positively support you and your wife. I will pass on your kind comments to her and please keep in touch with us and tell us more about your story. Thank You Glenis Smith Children's Centre Co-ordinator.
