My husband has just spent 7 weeks on Ward 302 suffering from terminal cancer.
His care was second to none and every effort was made to help him in every way both physically and mentally.
As his condition worsened as we knew it would he was moved to a private room where we as a family could visit at any time.
HIs nursing care was amazing offering him professional friendly dignified care of the very highest standard whilst also offering help advice a kind word and time for reassurance during their very busy schedule.
The standard of cleanliness could not be faulted and the friendliness and compassion of every single member of the nursing staff was unbelievable.
When we asked if we could move into my husbands room with him we were made comfortable with easy chairs bedding food and drink in a friendly reassuring atmosphere.
Even after my husband passed away the care went on giving us privacy help care numerous cups of tea and help with what we must do next.
I have never seen such care and dedication practised by such a large group of people all working together not just intermittently but continually day after day.
To all members of staff on Ward 302 you are amazing every one of you and we thank you most sincerely from the family of Michael Bale
