"my son was admitted from A an ..."

About: Chesterfield Royal Hospital

(as a relative),

What I liked

my son was admitted from A an E being very ill and diagnosed quickly with diabetes. all staff were great and at no time were we the parents made to feel that we should have realised how ill our teenage son was.

What could be improved

would have been nice if there was a ward for the inbetweeners . not little kids and not grown ups. .

Anything else?

real good been able to have direct contact with the childrens ward 24 hours a day . . although sometimes it is difficult to understand some doctors over the phone

Thank you for your comments and I hope your son is recovering - it must have been a really worrying time for you. I have passed your thoughts on to our emergency department and the children's ward. Best wishes Sarah Turner-Saint, Head of Communications
